 Monday, September 27th is picture day. Please make sure you are in your formal uniform and bring your SMILE!

Homework is due on October 1st. We will also have our spelling test on this day.

Please remember, there is NO school on Thursday, September 30th as it is the national day of Truth and Reconciliation.

The Grade 3 students are preparing the assembly (VIRTUAL) for Orange Shirt Day. The link for the assembly will be sent home on October 29th when we will be having Orange Shirt Day at Le Roi Daniels school to honour the day of Truth and Reconciliation. 

Please practice your child's lines/quotes for the assembly with them over the weekend. We will be recording on Monday!

Friday, September 17th

Homework will be posted on Sunday. Please send it back to school as it is completed. It is due on Thursday next week because we have a PD day on Friday.

Please ensure your child is in FORMAL UNIFORM on Monday. We will be checking!

On Wednesday, Sept. 22 we will welcome Teacher's Pet into our classroom for an in-school field trip. This program will run for the morning only, so please make sure your child is here and on time.

TOONIES FOR TERRY! Our Terry Fox run will be held on September 23rd. If you are able to donate to this important cause, please send in a toonie for Terry by Sept. 23rd.

Friday, September 10th

 Happy Friday!

Homework starts next week. I will post it on SUNDAY, but homework books and Mathletics sign-in cards will be sent home on MONDAY. Please return all homework in your child's yellow communication folder by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th. If you print one of the activities out, please staple/glue/tape it inside of their actual notebook.  

If you were unable to attend our parent information night last night, I will be posting the PowerPoint under the WELCOME tab. Once you look through it, as alway, email me with any questions that you might have.

Have a wonderful weekend. We will see everyone on Monday morning in formal uniform.

 Reminders:

1. ALL forms are due tomorrow. If you have not yet received them, they will be in your child's communication folder today.

2. The yellow communication folder must be returned to the school EVERY day, even if it is empty.

4. RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

Today we read a story called "Kindness is Cooler, Mrs. Ruler." Please ask your child to tell you about this story. Your child has set a goal to do at least 5 acts of kindness over the long weekend. We will be completing an activity in class next week around these acts of kindness. 

 

Happy First Day of Grade 3!

Today we are thankful for being able to come to Le Roi Daniels school and learn face to face! It was fun to see our friends and we even met some new friends that we will get to know more this year. We had a quick assembly for grade 3s in the morning and learned about the importance of being kind and passing our kindness on to others. Our goal this week to pass our SMILES onto people who pass by.

Reminders:

Please make sure your child has their black dress shoes and gym shoes at the school for tomorrow (or an all black running shoes is fine too).

On formal days, your child must wear a green cardigan (not the vest).

Please make sure all forms that were sent home at the ice cream social are returned by Friday! If you did not make it to the ice cream social, we are sending them home today.
